Mission and Responsibilities of CFCU

       Mission CFCU is the responsible Directorate for the decentralized management of EU funds in accordance with the decentralization management of these funds. The transfer of management power to an indirect management of European Union IPA funds, has been associated with the development of the legal basis and the establishment of relevant structures in the Ministry of Finance, in the Ministry of Integration and the Line Ministries / Beneficiary Institutions for an effective and sound management of EU funds in accordance with European standards. Among the established structures is CFCU   “Central Finance and Contracting Unit”,  which currently is a General Directorate within the Ministry of Finance. The General Directorate for Managing and Contracting of EU Funds   organisational structure includes 2 Directorates one of which is: ‘’The Procurement and Contracting Management Directorate  of EU funds’’ ,  whose mission is to ensure an effective management, financial and technical for the projects approved by the Financial Agreements with the European Commission. In this respect the CFCU carries out the following tasks:
